Reviewer: Bill White "synchronicity-expert.com" (TX) Starkly direct with a profound introspective flavor, You Don't See Many Chickens in Clearance really shook up some of my assumptions. This is a book you need to read slowly, like savoring a wine. Each chapter brings you in to Cory's world and demonstrates with real life stories the principles from the scriptures she references. Cory weaves her words in an intelligent and very visual way poking holes in our complacency and challenging us to rise to an even higher moral ground. Her often tongue in cheek allusions keep the pace enjoyable as well as inspiring. Your spiritual journey would be remiss without reading this great work!
I have read a couple of the essays and find them to be right 'on the money' as to where I find myself. For instance, my book first opened to "Unsettled Times" and I could not help but say, 'Yes, Cory, keep the story alive, keep telling it again and again.' And then, 'World, make room for this Mary and Joseph story of hope and promise and keep making room." The Rev. Gary Straughan |
